What this site collects

ADA Compliance Info is designed to collect the minimum information required to run the site and process violation reports.

  • Violation reports. When you submit a report, we collect the business name and address you enter, the GPS coordinates you capture (only if you tap the “Use my location” button), your description of the violation, up to five photos you upload, the building-age information you enter, and, if you provide it, a reporter name and email address.
  • Standard server logs. Our web host records IP addresses, user agents, and request paths for the usual reasons — abuse prevention, rate limiting, and debugging. These logs are rotated out on the host’s normal schedule.
  • Your state selection. If you pick a state at the top of the Interactive Guide, that choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage so the site can remember it next time. It is never transmitted to the server; clearing your browser storage clears the setting.

What we don’t collect

  • We don’t use third-party analytics cookies. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no advertising trackers.
  • We don’t fingerprint your device.
  • We don’t sell or rent any data to anyone.
  • We don’t require an account to read the Guide or file a report.

Photos and GPS

Photos you upload with a violation report are stored on the site’s WordPress media library and are accessible only to administrators. The GPS coordinates you capture are stored alongside the report and are used to place the violation on a map for review. Both can be removed on request.

Accessibility statement

The Interactive Guide and the Report form are built to the WCAG 2.1 Level AA baseline, with keyboard navigation on every interactive element, ARIA labels on controls, 48-pixel minimum tap targets, adjustable text size, and a high-contrast dark mode. If any page on this site presents an accessibility barrier to you, that is a bug; please tell us and we will fix it. Specific barriers we ask you to report include any element you cannot reach with a keyboard, any control that is not announced correctly by a screen reader, any text that does not meet contrast minimums, and any form field that is missing a programmatic label.

Your rights

You may ask us to show you what data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email the administrator through the Contact page. We honor requests under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, and any applicable state-law equivalent. We do not verify the identity of the requester beyond matching an email address, so requests tied to violation reports should be sent from the email address used to submit the report.

Changes to this statement

If we change this statement we will post the new version here and update the date below. We will not retroactively change the terms under which any prior violation report was submitted.
